This fascinating image shows the coronal or bitemporal incision which is a surgical approach to the regions of the facial skeleton, including the zygomatic arch. Provides excellent access to these areas with minimal complications, with the major advantage being that in this approach most of the surgical scar is hidden within the hairline. The variety of cases in which it has proven to be useful include craniofacial reconstruction, facial trauma, and tumor resection.
