Patient complains of scaly skin from 3 years.Itching is occasional,after taking a bath or when there is sweat.What is the treatment of choice?
First you must to diagnose the problem I think it needs to get biopsy
This looks like Psoriasis(occasionally we may need a biopsy to confirm dx) . If this is the only lesion id like to start with topical steroid creams, if its Severe we add light therapy or systemic oral corticosteroids and when absolutely necessary we may use immunosuppressive agents like methotrexate , cyclosporine. Above Rx options can be used with other measures like diet and herbs.
