Preparing for surgical operations or to evacuation for colonoscopy. @available forms= Taps 5 & 10 mg & rectal supp. for kids & adults. @taps takes 10-12 hrs to exert its action, thus advice patients to take it at night that bowel movement occurs in the morning. @supp. Act within 20min -1hr. Thus should be take in the morning. @ taps available are enteric coated to avoid being released in the the stomach rather than the intestine, so never crush, chew or break it into two halves. @avoid taking antacids in the same time, becquse it change the stomach media to be alkaline to the extent that may affect drug release. @safe in preg. & lactation if used for short term. @bisacodyl taps can't be used for children, they can't swallow, so use other like glycerin. @too much use (=abuse) may cause laxative abuse & lead to diarrhea.
