Treatment of acne vulgaris in pregnancy: Pregnant women should not be treated with topical retinoids. If treatment during pregnancy is necessary, oral or topical erythromycin, topical clindamycin, or topical azelaic acid may be considered after a review of the risks and benefits of therapy.
