Components of lacrimal apparatus
The lacrimal apparatus consists of the lacrimal glands, lacrimal canaliculi, lacrimal sac, and nasolacrimal duct. The lacrimal gland is a serous, compound tubuloalveolar gland whose secretory acini are surrounded by myoepithelial cells.
