Heart transplantation
Over 5000 heart transplants occur every year. The surgical procedures have become more and more efficient and routine but the barrier of transport still remains. Currently 8 out of 10 hearts don’t make it to their destination. This incredible invention allows blood to flow through the heart, keeping it warm and alive for longer!
