A 16 weeks old fetus with intrauterine-death. Induced and after 15 minutes contractions born in 2 seconds. Clear cause of death; Cord entanglement around his neck . The mechanism of death would not be suffocation as in hanging but compromised blood flow through a tight nuchal cord compressing the vessels. Usually, if the umbilical cord wraps around the neck at birth, it won't hurt the baby. It can cause decelerations during contractions And pushing, But babies have enough reserve to not suffer from this. No other abnormalities visible here.
