How old is the patient? The choice is laparoscopic cholecystectomy but in elderly patient and cholangitis, cholecystostomy or T-tube is done.

Cholecystectomy (open or laparoscopic, depending on situations and complications) or laparoscopic incision in order to just remove the stones if they're in the bile duct for example.

I missed the cholecystitis part. I would just opt for a laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
