Toxoplasmosis is an infection caused by the Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii) parasite. It is one of the most common parasitic diseases and is known to affect nearly all warm-blooded animals and humans, but cats are the primary living host.

Well. Most of the people get toxoplasmosis because of eating unwashed vegetables. When you wash your hands after you clean your cats toilet - which I hope you do - I dont see a problem with owning a cat.

Toxoplasmosis is 1 of the causes for recurrent pregancy loss. Individuals having cat as a pet are more susceptible to have schizophrenia, and probably toxoplasmosis of cat is considered responsible. Cats are not allowed as a pet in JAPAN.

Yeah... I live in China.., πŸ˜… I'm not Chinese..so.. Cats are very common over here, they can even keep the street cats as their own..πŸ˜‚ So Idk China's got many cases like that..,this is one of the picture I took at a shop.
