Study hard for your upper year classes! A lot of what I learned in grade 11/12 was the content in my first year undergrad. The better you understand the concepts from an early start, the easier the content is to understand in upper years of your undergraduate degree ☺️. I’m going into my 3rd year of my bio-medical degree and I’m planning on writing the MCAT next summer! Best of luck!
Grades and mcat are important but medical schools like we'll rounded students. Join clubs, volunteer, and shadow. Clinical experience will give you a step up. I had a gap year before getting in. I worked as a nurse assistant and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Don't be discouraged by failure use it as fuel to drive yourself
