Problems with memory develop as a normal part of ageing process. Memory is simply encoding, storage and retrieval. Ageing affects either stage mildly. Elderly present with memory problems such as missing date and time, forgetting about the keys of house or car, difficulty recalling names, difficulty performing routine tasks, difficulty learning new information, and maintaining general knowledge.
