Question for fun: what would be a typical reason for hemosiderin deposits in an internal organ, absent of trauma and significant hemorrhage? Which organs are typically affected (and why in case you wanna write an essay about it)?

I approve :) I will also point out (although not as common) that hemosiderin laden macrophages often are present in autopsies if a congestion has been present. Afaik especially common in case of pulmonary congestion, which is thankful because it's very easy to identify with the right staining and there's usually no mistake of the cause for it. But your answer was better than the one I had in mind so thank you for that!

I thought of it... Pulmonary congestion leading to hemosiderin laden macrophages... But i had a view of a disease leading to hemosiderosis in many organs
