Schematic representation of pathogenic process

The figure shows how virus gets inoculated into the body and the pathogenic process takes place. In the given diagram you can see a dog biting the man from where the virus enters the body, replicates in the muscles (Skeletal), binds to nicotinic receptors in the neuromuscular junction , travels within the axon in peripheral nerves, Replicates in the motor neuron and dorsal root ganglia from where it infects the brain causing neural dysfunction leading to the spread along nerves to salivary gland, skin, cornea etc.
