Cholestasis of pregnancy, also known as obstetric cholestasis, refers to the development of jaundice during pregnancy. The jaundice is associated with intense itch and deranged liver enzymes. Cholestasis of Pregnancy develops during last trimester of pregnancy. The condition may have detrimental effects on fetus since it can cause intrauterine death or premature delivery.
