Gartner's Duct Cyst

Gartner's duct is a remnant of mesonephric duct in females. Cystic dilatation of this remnant can lead to formation of a mass known as 'Gartner's duct cyst'. Gartner's duct cyst is usually asymptomatic. In adolescence, individuals may present with dysmenorrhea or difficulty in inserting tampon during menstruation. An association has been found between Gartner's duct cyst and anomalies of metanephric ducts.
