Propionic Acidemia

Propionic acidemia is a rare inherited disease characterized by inability of the body to process certain proteins and lipids. Consequently, there is a build up of organic acids. These signs and symptoms of propionic acidemia arise few days after birth. These includes poor feeding, vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy, hypotonia, seizures, and coma.
