Seborrheic Keratosis (also known as “age spots” and “wisdom spots”) is a common dermatologic condition that is characterized by numerous hyperpigmented and hyperkeratotic skin lesions. The risk factors for getting this condition include old age and family history. In this lesson, we discuss some of the known pathophysiology as to why this condition occurs, the characteristics of the skin lesions, how it’s diagnosed and how it’s treated.
