Teitz Syndrome Teitz Syndrome is a rare and benign inflammatory disorder that involves swelling of cartilage of upper ribs and chest pain. The pain especially originates at the junction of ribs and sternum. The unexplained onset of pain is gradual or sudden in onset and radiates to arms and shoulders. Teitz Syndrome may not need treatment as it resolves on its own.
