Causes of Livedo Reticularis

Livedo reticularis refers to red-purplish lace-like discoloration. It is attributed to decreased blood supply. Livedo reticularis may arise due to: - moyamoya disease - grave's disease - buerger's disease - pernicious anemia - churg-strauss syndrome - down syndrome - CMV infection - FILS syndrome - APLA - pheochromocytoma - ehler-danlos syndrome - drugs such as methyphenidate, amantadine, bromocriptine, etc. - vasculitis autoimmune conditions such as SLE, dermatomyositis, chronic pancreatitis, etc. Reference: Image via:
