Insulinoma is the tumor of beta-cells of the pancreas. The signs and symptoms of insulinoma are characterized by Whipple triad: 1. episodes of hypoglycemia 2. CNS symptoms secondary to hypoglycemia e.g., confusion, anxiety, stupor, paralysis, seizures, and coma 3. reversal of signs and symptoms of hypoglycemia on administration of glucose Reference: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3028566/#:~:text=Insulinomas%20are%20characterised%20clinically%20by,CNS%20abnormalities%20by%20glucose%20administration. This triad always cracked me up. 1. Do they have low blood sugar sometimes? 2. Do they have *really* low blood sugar sometimes? 3. Does it get better with sugar administration? It's gotta be one of the easiest ways someone got their name into medical books.
haha wow, its easy and funny at the same time lol, thanks for sharing!
