Yellow dandruff is seborrheic dermatitis. It is a common but incurable condition that mainly affects skin of scalp, forehead, face, ears, chest and back. It is a non-contagious and easy-to-treat condition that presents with red itchy patches with yellow-white greasy flakes. Topical steroids, selenium sulfide shampoo, tar preparations, topical anti-fungals, and zinc pyrithione treats seborrheic dermatitis.
