Oral Candidiasis

Oral Candidiasis (Oral Thrush) is an oral infection by fungi (yeast) of the genus Candida (with Candida albicans being the most common cause). There are various risk factors for getting oral candidiasis including immunosuppression, and extremes of age, among others. This video discusses all of the risk factors for getting oral thrush and briefly discusses the pathophysiology. It also explains the signs & symptoms, ways to diagnosis and ways to treat oral candidiasis.
