Rapunzel syndrome is also known as trichobezoar. It is a condition characterized by ingestion of hair which eventually leads to gastric outlet obstruction and other abdominal symptoms. Rapunzel syndrome is associated with trichotillomania, depression, body dysmorphism, trichophagia, and prior surgeries.
