Hello everyone Patient 60 years old known case of ischemic heart disease went under coronary artery bypass graft 3 years ago presented with shortness of breath at rest 2 weeks ago . Xray attached In which there was pleural effusion. Chest tube inserted . 2000 ml of pleural fluid drained. After pleural tap xray not done. Patient is on anti-ischemic medications Aspirin+ clopidogrel Ace inhibitor Beta blockers Anti cholesterol ( rovastatin ) Vit 6 Angisid She is hypertensive And non diabetic Now the pulmonologist started them Anti tuberculus therapy started Pleural fluid culture and sensitivity and zn stain negative for tb ( acid fast bacilli ) So now what is the cause of massive pleural effusion. And why the respected doctor started anti- tb drugs. Give your expert opinion about further management plan . Thanks
