Asterixis aka Flapping Tremor

This video demonstrates asterixis, also known as flapping tremor. It is seen as jerky movements of the hands when they are extended at wrist. Asterixis is a classical sign of hepatic encephalopathy and it is also sometimes seen in uremia and hypercarbia.
