Neurofibromatosis type 1, also known as von Recklinghausen disease. The hallmarks of NF1 are the multiple café-au-lait macules and neurofibromas. The typical order of appearance of clinical manifestations is café-au-lait macules, axillary and/or inguinal freckling, Lisch nodules (iris hamartomas), and neurofibromas.
