When is inpatient care indicated for dengue?
Indications for Inpatient Care in Dengue • Active bleeding • Poorly controlled febrile condition • When patient develops signs of dehydration - Hypotension - Rising hematocrit - Altered mental status - Cool or mottled skin - Tachycardia - Decreased pulse amplitude - Prolonged capillary refill time i.e. > 2 seconds - Decreased urine output - Narrowed pulse pressure i.e. < 30 mmHg
