Transmission of Dengue virus Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne infectious disease. When Aedes mosquito bites a human being and sucks the blood, it injects the saliva in it to prevent clotting which makes feeding on blood easier. In the meantime, Aedes mosquito transmits the virus into the blood of host.
