Cavitron Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator (CUSA) for Treatment of HPV Infection CUSA is a device which destroys lesions by heat and cavitation. This device is primarily used for its extensively effective action against intra-abdominal tumors. CUSA causes cytoreduction of these tumors by removing epithelium. This act is done quite delicately as it does not damage the underlying tissue. Keeping in vision the function of CUSA for tumors, it is employed as an alternative treatment for HPV-related lesions.
