Femoral Hernia: Femoral hernia arises below the inguinal ligament. It may also be known as ‘Cloquet’s node’. This type of hernia is common in multiparous women. Inguinal Hernia: Inguinal hernia is the most common type of hernia in men. It refers to protrusion of abdominal content through inguinal canal. Umbilical Hernia: It occurs near the navel. It arises due to protrusion of fat or part of gut. Incisional Hernia: The incisional hernia arises from previous incision scars from abdominal or pelvic surgeries. Spigelian Hernia: It refers to protrusion of intestine through the abdominal below the navel.
