Honeycomb Lung in Pulmonary Fibrosis

Honeycomb lung is demonstrated on CT scan in case of pulmonary fibrosis. It refers to clusters of cystic spaces that may be present in peripheral, basal, or subpleural distribution. Other conditions that may give exhibit honeycomb lungs are traction bronchiectasis, paraseptal emphysema, paracicatricial emphysema, and airspace consolidation in pulmonary emphysema.
