Neurogenic shock is a consequence of spinal cord injury, trauma, violence and irregular blood circulation. The causes usually include vehicle accidents, sports injuries, falls and gunshots. This condition is associated with loss of muscle tone, unchallenged parasympathetic response and autonomic dysregulation. It is a serious health condition and needs prompt medical attention. The signs and symptoms of Neurogenic Shock are - Nausea and vomiting - Pale skin - Profuse sweating - Blank staring - Anxiety - Dizziness and fainting - Hypotension - Low pulse - Hypothermia Patients of neurogenic shock need immediate stabilization. Any negligence leads to irreversible damage. Hypotension and bradycardia are serious signs which need attention. Vasopressin, epinephrine, norepinephrine and dopamine are the most commonly administered.
