It is necessary to ensure hand and breast hygiene. Here are breastfeeding guidelines for post hospital discharge for mothers or infants with suspected or confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection. • Newborns must be bathed after birth to remove SARS-CoV-2 from their skin. • Newborns must undergo SARS-CoV-2 testing. First at 24 hours and next at 48 hours. • Newborns must continue a follow-up for 14 days after discharge. • After discharge, symptomatic mother must maintain a distance of 6 feet from her baby. In extreme urgency, the mother can come closer only when - Temperature is normal for 72 hours without antipyretic treatment - 1 week passes since the first onset of symptoms - Respiration is normal - 2 consecutive SARS-CoV-2 tests are normal
