What is Ramsay-Hunt syndrome?
Ramsay Hunt Syndrome Ramsay Hunt Syndrome (RHS) is a rare neurological disorder caused by varicella zoster virus (VZV) manifesting as shingles and chickenpox in adults and children respectively. In this disorder, the affected individual presents with facial nerve palsy and rash localized to ear or mouth. This condition is associated with ringing of ears and hearing loss. Ramsay Hunt Syndrome (RHS) develops after reactivation of Varicella Zoster Virus (VZV) and spreads to facial nerve.
