Prognosis of Roseola Infantum in Immunocompromised Patients The prognosis of roseola infantum in immunocompromised patients is not encouraging. Patients with AIDS usually develop CNS infection, retinitis, disseminated organ involvement, viremia and lymphadenopathy. Transplant recipients who contract roseola infantum develop marrow suppression, encephalitis, pneumonitis, and hepatitis. Death occurs due to organ failure.
