It is a cytotoxic agent used for treatment of HPV infection. Podofilox is drug of choice for treatment of external genital warts and condyloma acuminatum, especially in non-pregnant women. It is extracted and purified from podophyllin resin, a naturally occurring resin. Apply 0.5 g of podofilox gel per day 2 times daily for 3 consecutive days. Continue this treatment for 4 weeks.
