Left Coronary Arteriogram

Left Coronary Arteriogram

Angiography is an essential diagnostic and therapeutic modality in field of cardiology. The obstruction in vasculature of the heart is identified and relieved through angiography. The attached image shows the left coronary arteriogram. Contrast is used to define the vasculature. The image demonstrates the left main artery and its terminal branches i.e., left anterior descending artery and left circumflex artery. In some cases, an additional branch i.e., ramus intermedius may be present.
