Retroareolar Fibroadenoma It accounts 8% of all breast cancers. Location: It is located at less than 2cm from the nipple or nipple-areolar conplex. Diagnosis: Is usually made by mammogram or Ultrasound. Fibroadenoma: They are breast lumps, and are not serious and is non cancerous. Evaluation is necesssary inorder to find whether it is benign or malignant. Fibroadenomas are removed only if they keep growing or changing shape. Sometimes these tumors stop growing or even shrink on their own without any treatment.
