Kaposi’s sarcoma

Kaposi’s sarcoma is a cancer of skin, oral cavity, lymph nodes and other various organs that is commonly associated with HSV-8 (Huma herpes virus 8). This condition is characterized by the formation of reddish/purplish coloured lesions that may be flat or raised. The condition is seen in immunocompromised patients and is transmitted sexually.
