Lipoma can occur anywhere in the body where there are fat cells, commonly in the neck and trunk.On inspection you can see it in discoid or hemispherical form and also appear lobulated.On palpation may be soft or firm, if it soft and large size may show fluctuation.Slip Sign is the manner in which lipoma tends to slip between the finger on gentle pressure, this sign can differentiate lipoma from cystLipoma can arises subcutaneus or intramuscularLipoma sometimes in multiple and also painfull, this state known as adiposis dolorosa or Dercum’s disease and associated with peripheral neuropathy
