Using titanium mesh for alveolar ridge augmentation

These are often used to prepare the jaws for dental implants in the near future 😬🔧😷Once a full thickness mucoperiosteal flap is raised, bone graft is placed and secured with porous titanium meshwork. The mesh is generally secured with mini-screws into the jaw . A collagen membrane then protects the graft while the flap is then closed and sutured in place 😵
