Since you’re probably just starting medical school, anatomy will take up most of your time as it is overwhelming ! Even if you’re a final year medical student and want to brush up your basics, hope you find this helpful. I am writing this as a 3rd year medical student and have done my research after lots of trial and error and these are the methods which worked for me, so here is how you can break it down! Acland’s Atlas of Human Anatomy (Videos) : I bet there are thousands of videos out there on YouTube etc. for human anatomy but these ones are by far the best. Keep these videos on your phone, iPad, laptop and watch them at 1.5Xor 2X speed. Gray’s Anatomy for Students: There’s a reason why this is considered as the Holy book for human anatomy and you will get to know why once you start reading it. I have only read the student edition and this much detail is all you need to know in med school. The way this books shows you the relations of one structure to another via 3D diagrams is astounding! Netter’s Atlas of Anatomy: Anatomy isn’t complete without this Atlas. It’s important that you know all the relations from different angles and this books gives you just that. Don’t open this books without reading your theory, you won’t understand. Only after you're done with that particular topic, open this atlas and visualise it from different angles. Every single page in this book is drawn by the renowned Dr. Netter and it’s a pleasure to see this book and how beautiful it is! Kaplan Anatomy vidoes by Dr. Seiden: This man is a genius and the way he teaches embryology will make you realise why what is where in a lucid manner. Highly recommended! Dr. Najeeb Video Lectures: This man breaks down every little structure to the core. The only downside is the extremely long and slow lectures and how much time it takes to finish one topic in his videos. Watch this only if you can’t understand something from the book or otherwise but don’t waste your time in watching all the videos. You don’t have that much time at hand and you have other subjects to deal with. Now coming to the examination point of view for Indian medical students: BD Chaurasia. This book is the bible if you’re an Indian medical student but I found this book pathetic. You will have to write your theory according to this book but don’t refer to it for your concepts. This books will make you lose your interest in anatomy, that’s how boring it is. So refer to this book for examination point of view only after you’ve mastered the topic! Hope you found this helpful and best of luck
I used vishram sing text book.... Its wonderful so you can use this instead od BD chaurasia... U will find interesting in anatomy...
