Cardiac tamponade is an acute medical emergency. It occurs when an accumulation of fluid in the pericardial sac hinders the normal functioning of heart. It is characterized in ER by Beck’s triad. Beck’s triad consists of: 1. Low blood pressure 2. Distension of jugular vein 3.
