Mondor's Disease

Mondor's Disease

Mondor's disease refers to thrombophlebitis of superficial veins of the breast and anterior chest wall. The condition may occur spontaneously or following a surgery. The pathognomic feature of the disease is the presence of a thrombosed subcutaneous cord, usually attached to the skin. In most cases, it is self-resolving. Patients are only advised to restrict arm movements.
