Maffucci syndrome is a rare disease characterized by enchondroma, deformed bones, and hemiangiomas. Individuals with Maffucci syndrome has increased risk of various other cancers. Bone cancer, called chondrosarcoma, is also prevalent. The genetic determinant of Maffucci syndrome is not yet known. The aim of management of Maffucci syndrome is to provide symptomatic relief and early intervention in cancer. Multi-disciplinary team is usually imperative to treat such cases.
