Kiesselbach's Plexus and Little's area

Kiesselbach's Plexus and Little's area

Epistaxis refers to bleeding from the inside of the nose. Bleeding may occur from any side but in 90% of the cases, it occurs from Little's area which is situated in the anteroinferior part of the nasal septum. In Little's area anastomosis of four blood vessels is present, called Kiesselbach's plexus. These vessels include anterior ethmoidal artery, septal branch of superior labial artery, sphenopalatine artery, and greater palatine arteries.
