Inside the knee joint

The knee joint between the tibia and femur is the largest synovial joint of the human body. It is a complex structure in which various intra-articular structures play their role in providing the joint adequate stability and mobility. There are two fibrocartilagenous menisci which provide cushioning effect and several ligaments (ACL and PCL) which limit excess motion. Laterally, the joint is stabilized by the collateral ligaments. http://www.imagequiz.co.uk/quizzes/138819036
