Swan neck deformity is an acquired deformity of finger characterised by flexion of distal interphalangeal (DIP) joint and hyperextention of Proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint. This condition is a characteristic feature of the inflammatory disorder Rheumatoid arthritis. Other condition in which this condition can be seen includes Ehler-Danlos syndrome, congenital cases and I’m cases of injury.
