Eccrine hidrocystoma refers to cystic intradermal channels dilated secondary to retention of sweat. It presents with bluish-translucent discolored papules. The most common location of eccrine hidrocystoma is face. Eccrine hidrocystoma shows seasonal variation. The number is increased during summer and decreased in winters. The diagnosis of eccrine hidrocystoma is made clinically by inserting needle in the papule to reveal sweat.
