How did the coronavirus outbreak start?
According to experts, COVID-19 first originated in the wet markets of Wuhan, China. Wet markets of China are known to sell wild and banned species like raccoon dogs, wild boars and cobras. Hundreds of customers go to these markets in search of fresh meat and sea food. In a busy market like these where wild and banned animals are exhibited openly for sale the viruses swap genes. Such genetic activity might have given rise to an entirely new strain of virus. A common but unauthentic piece of information circulates across internet indicating bats to be the cause of COVID-19. However, when the first case of COVID-19 was reported there were no bats at the wet market.
